Developing better Internet LOTE learning tasks
Abstract
"Student LOTE learning tasks which are designed to make use of the Internet, vary according to:

· The Cognitive Processes required by the task, and
· The specific Set of Mental Skills which they require of the students

Using these parameters to map-out LOTE Web tasks can help teachers understand the strengths and weaknesses of their planned activities and at the same time point the way to further valuable experiences. Bloom's Taxonomy used together with Gardner's concept of Multiple Intelligences, offers a great way of "casting a wider net" with which to motivate and engage greater numbers of LOTE students, and at the same time extend their present abilities and interests.
The wider the range of contexts and cognitive processes in a Web task the more it will engage and motivate students".
